Didn’t think Gabby Barrett’s song “I Hope” could get any angrier? Well, you thought wrong! Laila Mach auditions for American Idol with her own, original song “I Hope,” inspired by Gabby Barrett’s song with the same title. Katy Perry calls Laila Mach’s song “a more deranged version” of Gabby’s, but quickly follows that by telling Laila that she has “exactly what it takes to be in this competition and go far.” Luke Bryan calls Laila’s performance “very impressive,” and Lionel gives it a “yes, yes, yes and YES!”
