American Idol's Lauren Alaina Shows "I'm the Only One" You Should Vote For!

American Idol Season 10's 'Sweet Georgia Peach' Lauren Alaina sings Melissa Etheridge's "I'm the Only One" on the Top 12 Show. This week, Idol contestants choose a song from the year of their birth. Lauren was born November 8th, 1994, and choose Melissa's biggest hit single for tonight's performance. Interscope producer Jimmy Iovine told Lauren, "We're expecting a lot from you. And I know you want a lot for yourself. And we know you can do it."

"I'm the Only One" is a Melissa Etheridge song that appears on her 1993 album Yes I Am. The single hit #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Adult Contemporary charts in January 1995. This is one of her biggest hit singles ever.

Last year's American Idol second place finalist Crystal Bowersox also wowed the audience with Melissa Etheridge classics. In Season 9, Crystal performed "Come to My Window" and "Piece of My Heart" which Melissa Etheridge famously sang at a tribute to Janis Joplin.
