Shania Twain, Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina to Present at CMT Music Awards
Legends and newcomers will collide at the 2011 CMT Music Awards, as Shania Twain, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina and more are all set to present. Twain, who is currently on the comeback trail with ‘Why Not? With Shania Twain,’ will return to the show after a seven-year absence. Welcome back, Shania! The CMT Music Awards have missed you and your voice.
Additionally, McCreery and Alaina, the winner and runner-up, respectively, on Season 10 of ‘American Idol,’ will be on hand to present. McCreery and Alaina attending another public event together? We predict they will deny that they are dating when the press corps probes them about their relationship status at the event! It’s inevitable that the question will get asked … again.
In addition to the aforementioned trifecta, pop star Justin Bieber, fresh off his collaboration with Rascal Flatts, will also present. The Bieb has already proven his country roots by working with the Flatts, so he is carving out a place for himself among country music’s elite.
Other presenters include Luke Bryan, Sheryl Crow, Kristin Chenoweth and Laura Bell Bundy. Bryan and Crow are also set to perform, so they’re pulling double duty at the show.
All in all, the CMT Music Awards are shaping up to be quite the star-studded event! The 2011 CMT Music Awards will air live on Wednesday, June 8 at 8PM ET/7PM CT on CMT and CMT.com.
